Description (Physical description)
Bone sewing case in the form a windmill (.1) containing a metal thimble (.2). Cylindrical top with linear slit in side and rotating bone sails, attached to threaded bone screw, forming a sewing tape measure, ribbon missing. Flared section below with serrated edging decorated with circular perforations. Central cylindrical section with screw top and bottom containing (.2) metal thimble. Lower section forms pin case with red satin ribbon sides; upper portion of bands decorated with chevrons and flared serrated finial with screw top. Thimble (.2) of metal with indented surface and slightly flared base.
