Description

Small globular jar; polychrome red and white on buff; burnished. Flat base, carinated at the body; upright neck; finishing with a direct rim. One single line in white around the neck, just below the rim; two white lines in zig-zag around the body with red colour in between. A single white line surrounds the lower part of the jar's body. Dark colour stains from differentiated firing conditions.

Cremation 261. Ashes were in olla (1924.409 A), instead of bowl on top another small olla (1924.409 B) was fitted in mouth of first olla (A). No objects found with cremation. Trench V. Depth 4' 6". Excavated by Samuel K. Lothrop, Museum of the American Indian, and Louis Clarke, Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, as part of the Louis C.G.
