Globular jar with buff fabric. Simple rim, slightly thickened at exterior; rounded body on round base. No evidence of decoration; exterior blackened. Reconstructed with sherds and plaster infill.

Part of Burial 168, under room 37. The body of a man lying on his back with knees bent. Apparently the body had been covered with a wooden framework, fragments of wood. Remains of shell bracelets (1924.596) recovered. Body covered with bark. Red paint under chin, under bowls, which were inverted, were found remains of baskets (Z 2585 A-F) containing food. Excavated by Samuel K. Lothrop, Museum of the American Indian, and Louis Clarke, Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, as part of the Louis C.G.
