Description for 1956.161[.1-3; .4 A; .5-19]: 'Spindle whorls (20) [only 19 found in 1985], falling generally into Ekholm's type 1, flat or gently plano-convex with moulded relief decoration on one side and black shiny painting mainly on the other, flat, side.'

Small fibre of organic material was found inside the hole of object 1956.161.12. Possibly a textile residue (see 1956.161.4 B). It was collected, cleaned and bagged accordingly.

Description (Physical description)
One spindle whorl; bichrome red ware. Slightly truncated triangular cross-section and relief decoration on curved side in the shape of one bird with a long beak, a band in black colour, and undulating motifs in black on buff on its flat side.
