Description

Two bone needle cases in the form of a book. (.1) Open fretwork forming foliate motifs on both sides with scalloped edges; small holes form outer border stitched with blue thread. Spine and interior lining of sheer blue satin cloth. Several sheets of off-white cloth inside; blue satin ribbon ties, one separate and placed inside. (.2) Open fretwork forming foliate motifs on both sides with spiral or flower motif at centre and scalloped edges; small holes form outer border stitched with pink thread. Spine and interior lining of sheer pink satin cloth. Several sheets of off-white cloth inside; ribbon ties missing.
