Description

Pair of hide or leather leggings decorated with fringes and bead embroidery. Each legging is made two panels of leather sewn together with side and central fringes; decorated with leaf and stem motif in blue, green and red glass seed beads; leg tapers very slightly towards ankle with a zigzag edge at the bottom; loop of leather at top of each. Part of an outfit worn by a ritual specialist or shaman, 1930.686 A-E.
