Description

String of coral coloured spondylus shell beads of different sizes, mostly sub-rectangular. Beads are strung so that they gradually decrease in size on each side of one large bead; two carved mother-of-pearl pendants opposite the large bead; these are zigzag shaped with jagged edges.

Original description for Z 29609[A-H]: 'Beads; also one wooden ?whistle. One strand large beads of stone, pottery, shell and electron. Three strands small black cylindrical ?bone or shell beads with interspersed coloured ones. One has a bird-like head as centrepiece. Two strands reddish ?bone beads, one has two carved mother-of-pearl pendants with zigzag edges. Two plaited string necklets with pear-shaped copper amulet.'
