Description

Two pieces of a circular brown resin or wax impression from a seal matrix of the Dean and Chapter of Ely Cathedral, with two strips of paper attached to each piece. On both sides, a figure is seated under a canopy. A heraldic shield with three crowns is shown at their feet on one side. Part of the inscription near the head on one side reads ’Sigillv’; part of the outer inscription on the opposing side near the feet reads ‘Ivsticia’.
