Description

Ecclesiastical, diamond-shaped, two-sided seal matrix of wood, carved from the whole. On one side, the die design shows a figure holding a staff. On the other side, the die design depicts the outline of a figure with a diamond-shaped, indented, border; around this are the letters ‘v b d h g r’ and, intersected by a cross at the top and bottom of the seal, ‘o t r f r o r’. The letters are not in mirror-image. Small dashes are carved into both faces and the outer edge is incised with cross-hatching. A circular perforation at the base is threaded with twisted cord.
