Description

Ceramic tanga; pubic shield, incomplete; reconstructed from smaller sherds. Bichrome; burnished; thin, curved-shaped and finishing with rounded rims, to be worn in similar fashion to female underwear. Three small drilled lashing holes on each corner, likely to attach the tanga to another garment. Decorated at the front in white slip with intricate geometric motifs and lines in dark brown. White slip on the back.
