Description (Physical description)
Object made from worked bone, possibly part of a handle. Wedge-like profile with a plano-convex cross-section; straight sides taper slightly towards one end, terminated with a transverse ridge; the other end terminated by a transverse break bisecting numerous circular perforations.

Context (Amendments / updates)
This collection was previously entered as from '?Southampton Island' and collected by Graham Rowley in 1936. However, they correspond to those excavated by Rowley in 1937 at the site of Avartoq [Akbahtok], Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/4). The Place field has been updated accordingly.
