Context (Amendments / updates)
This collection was previously entered as from '?Southampton Island' and collected by Graham Rowley in 1936. However, they correspond to those excavated by Rowley in 1937 at the site of Avartoq [Akbahtok], Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/4). The Place field has been updated accordingly.

Description (Physical description)
One peg of worked wood, formerly circular in cross section with high probability, now broken off lengthwise diagonally with roughly half of the peg missing. One end truncated with transverse recessed cuff, other end truncated with small lip.
