Catalogue card (1950.489) notes: 'Given to G.W. Rowley by an Eskimo (Evalik [or Evalak]) in Admiralty Inlet. Said to have come from a site on the mainland, opposite Yeoman Island.' This would likely have been in July or August 1937.

C: knife handle, grooved at one end and perforated at the other. D: broken, wooden shaft. E: split bone. F: bone point, with hollow socket at the broad end. G: ivory ?wound plug, with one end (socket end broken).'

Jaw bone fragment, possibly modified. Pointed tip with small two teeth sockets, flares to large triangular divot, tapers to thin curved butt.
