Context (Production / use)
Much of Rogers material is from what was described as unprovenanced Mandated New Guinea, ie what was German New Guinea and encompassed the northeastern part of the island of New Guinea and several nearby island groups and was the first part of the German colonial empire.

Found with S.E. Coast New Guinea material but Dr Anne Ford, Otago University, notes that these are not typical of S.E. Coast of New Guinea. Origin unknown.
