Description (Physical description)
Worked piece of wood, possibly an incomplete peg. Comprised of a shaft with flat butt end,, worked sides with an asymmetrical groove cut out of both sides; broken off at the other end with one rivet visible.

Context (Amendments / updates)
This collection was previously entered as from '?Southampton Island' and collected by Graham Rowley in 1936. However, they correspond to those excavated by Rowley in 1937 at the site of Avartoq [Akbahtok], Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/4). The Place field has been updated accordingly.
