" They were found in diamond gravels in August 1936 by G. Faithfull, manager of Capico London Ltd in the Arappon valley, Adonkrono Concession near the boundary of the Central and Eastern Provinces, Gold Coast; 969 were kept by Mr. Faithfull, somehaving been taken by the boys. They were found at a depth of 18 inches between the buttresses (sic) of a very large tree. In this country the spaces between the buttresses of certain trees are considered to be the abodes of spirits."
