Mostly red with three bands of geometric patterns in white, green, blue and pink; tassel on top in pink and red; has ear covers or flaps woven with squares of various colours; trim of blue and white around bottom edge. Strip of white cotton attached at the bottom of one ear flap with red stitching.

Original description for Z 15192 A-B: 'A: Man's knitted woollen cap. In patterns of red and white; waves, quadrangles, zig-zags and birds. Has ear covers and a tassel on top. Highland Peru, probably Cuzco area. B: As above but multicoloured patterns.'

The hat is primarily red, with bands that include various shades of white, green and pink. (There is no distinct imagery, however.) There is a very small tassle/bauble on top in pink and red. The ear flaps are very brightly coloured in blocks of the colours mentioned.
