Context (Acquisition Details)
The Moyne collection arrived at MAA in 1938, after being displayed in London from 19 May to 1 June. Richard Feachem organised and partially accessioned the collection in 1946; the remainder was registered in 1981 and 1995. See archive (FA2/3/6, Doc.68, Doc.467 and Doc.470).

Description (Physical description)
Vertical, elongated, zoomorphic adorno sherd representing the full body of an animal. Small head with pronounced appliquéd punctate eyes on either side and a deep groove running on top of head from vessel wall to a protruding point. Body with appliquéd strip/fillet, with single appliquéd punctate at either end, across abdomen and two punctates connected by a vertical groove near vessel wall. Rounded, protruding bottom section with single punctate on lower face. Buff fabric .
