Context (Acquisition Details)
The Moyne collection arrived at MAA in 1938, after being displayed in London from 19 May to 1 June. Richard Feachem organised and partially accessioned the collection in 1946; the remainder was registered in 1981 and 1995. See archive (FA2/3/6, Doc.68, Doc.467 and Doc.470).

Description (Physical description)
Vertical, elongated, zoomorphic adorno sherd representing the full body of an animal. Protruding head with nose that comes to a point, which has broken off at the end; two applied pellets on either side of the head, which have been deeply punctated, two of which represent eyes; two deep punctations with incised line between them just under the head and just before the base; applied pellet in the middle of the body; one deeply incised line on each side of the body coming up onto the pellet; curved up and thickened at the base with deeply punctated hole through the bottom; rounded back.
