Context (Acquisition Details)
The Moyne collection arrived at MAA in 1938, after being displayed in London from 19 May to 1 June. Richard Feachem organised and partially accessioned the collection in 1946; the remainder was registered in 1981 and 1995. See archive (FA2/3/6, Doc.68, Doc.467 and Doc.470).

Description (Physical description)
Vertical, zoomorphic adorno sherd representing the full body of an animal. Flattened head with pointed protruding nose and punctate eyes on either side of nose; at least two punctate marks on body; up-curving rounded bottom section with a deep punctate through the front. Retains part of vessel wall. Red fabric. Worn.
