Description

Small, rectangular, woven bedspread on undyed backing, probably linen. Design consists of alternating black-blue and red vertical bands of repeated quadrate motifs, with pink and purple bands at outer edges. Bands intersected with green and yellow stitching; rows of three white lines run horizontally. Open weft at one short edge infilled with plant fibre.

Description (Physical description)
Eight brocaded bedspreads of various designs and colours, including black, white, red, yellow, green, orange and blue; examples of Shan textile work. One is white with red triangular designs. The second is black and red with white cross-shaped designs. The third has black and brown stripes with white diamond designs. The fourth has red and black stripes with white length-wise stripes and white geometric designs. The fifth has dark red and black stripes with white length-wise stripes and white geometric designs. The sixth has red, black, green and orange stripes with white geometric designs. The seventh has red, black, green and yellow stripes with white geometric designs.
