Context (Amendments / updates)
This sherd was found with a reconstructed bowl (1980.1114). It appears to be the same type of ware but does not refit with the bowl. Also, this sherd is marked 'C 96[illegible]' while all sherds used to reconstruct the bowl are marked 'C 953'. While it is possible that there was a marking error and that there are missing pieces that had come off the reconstruction, therefore making this present sherd not to fit with the remaining bowl, it is more likely that this sherd belongs to a different vessel. Traces of glue along the edges of this sherd suggest that it came from a reconstructed bowl alike. As such, it is assigned a temp no.: TEMP.02874.
