Context (Production / use)
Norman Hammond notes that all the casts were made in MAA from the originals before they were dispersed to their final collections. Cast of the male musician was made from the original figurine, which is now held at the Belize National Collection in Belmopan. Cast of female figurine head taken from the original and is now in either Belmopan or the British Museum. Cast of the animal mould taken from the original mould, now in the British Museum. The cast impression taken from the original mould.
