Description
Slipped rim fragment of a large basal-flanged bowl. Rounded rim; everted body walls with flange on the exterior and single horizontal grooved line on the interior at about the same position, probably halfway down the body. Red ware with polished red slip on the exterior above flange edge and on the interior. Tempered with calcite. Reconstructed from two sherds.

This form is typical of San Jose II & widespread over Maya area. Typical of Holmul III, Uaxactun II, and as trade pieces occurs in the highlands of Guatemala.
