Context (Analysis)
TEMP.02825 and TEMP.02826 were found stored together. These objects may correspond to the square-sectioned prickers from Peschiera that are listed in the Foster Bequest catalogue on page 17, section IV, numbers 12-13. This section of the catalogue lists a group of seven prickers, including 'two that are square in section, one round, and one square with both ends rounded and pointed', from Auvernier and Peschiera. It is unclear which of these objects are from Peschiera. A handwritten annotation beside this catalogue description reads 'Z 23974', however neither the accession register or catalogue card for this number mentions prickers or awls. It is therefore not possible to definitively match TEMP.02825 and TEMP.02826 to a Foster Bequest catalogue entry or a known accession number.

Context (Amendments / updates)
This object was found marked with an incorrect accession number, Z 41674. This number is for a 'flat length of bronze with two hooks' from St Blaise, Switzerland, whereas the object is long with a square cross-section and is marked 'Peschiera' (Lake Garda, Italy). The object is also marked 'FB', for the Foster Bequest. No matching accession number or record could be found for the object, and thus the decision was taken to assign it a temporary accession number, TEMP.02825.
