Description
Axe-hammer made from ground and partially polished, dark grey dolerite. Straight cutting edge; sides bulge at centre; squared butt end; pierced through, top to bottom, by a circular hafting hole. Surface appears damaged around butt end and on one face.

Context (Amendments / updates)
The Source field previously listed Gothland as being in Denmark, however, it is part of Sweden. This confusion be due to the place of purchase being Copenhagen. The Source field has been updated and the spelling of Gothland update to Gotland and Wisby to Visby as is modern convention.
