Description
Biconical or rounded jar of buff brown burnished ware. Everted rim; short, constricted neck; biconical or rounded body with two opposing small bifurcated lugs projecting horizontally from shoulder; small, flat base. Horizontal grooves/ridges around shoulder. Three small piercings on lower body. One lug and part of rim, neck and body missing.

Context (Found together / assemblage)
A general index card for Z 21734 - Z 21744 reads: 'This collection of pottery of similar fabric from the W.K. Foster Bequest was stored together with Z 21733 and with which it appears to be a collection of Lausitz Bronze Age vessels, probably from South East Germany (Z 21733, Silesia, ?Muskau). All the forms of the finer pots can be equated with Lausitz types. It may be that some 'Swiss Lake Village' pots have been included in error.'
