Context (Found together / assemblage)
A general index card for Z 21734 - Z 21744 reads: 'This collection of pottery of similar fabric from the W.K. Foster Bequest was stored together with Z 21733 and with which it appears to be a collection of Lausitz Bronze Age vessels, probably from South East Germany (Z 21733, Silesia, ?Muskau). All the forms of the finer pots can be equated with Lausitz types. It may be that some 'Swiss Lake Village' pots have been included in error.'

Description (Physical description)
Biconical or rounded jar of buff burnished ware. Everted rim; constricted neck; bulbous body; small, flat base. Two opposing horizontally pierced, vertical lug handles with rectangular cross-section on shoulder. Four horizontal ridges around shoulder. Rim missing.
