Description

Base sherd from a handmade pedestal vessel of coarse, gritty fabric with a grey core and red surfaces. Thick, flat pedestal base with an oval hole. Base flares slightly to a body with a concave interior. Applied clay decoration: two vertical ridges on one side of the base; a small rounded knob at the bottom of the body.
