Description
Hallstatt double spiral ‘spectacle’ brooch of copper alloy, pin and hook broken off and missing. The whole brooch is constructed from a single continuous length of wire, twisted to form two conical spiral coils joined by a central figure-of-eight; the wire has a lozenge cross-section, tapering slightly towards the centre of each spiral.
