Scene includes two chariots, each drawn by two horses and two standing figures; dark blue border with thin yellow line around the central cream panel; figure and chariots in yellow, green, white and blue with crackle effect; edges of cloth are folded and sewn at the back.

Catalogue card for 1978.150 A-C: 'Three pieces of batik work. They were done to a design made by a Mrs Ghosh of Jodhpur Park, Calcutta, who has a small workshop and works with traditional designs from all over India. One [C] depicts a scene with two chariots, taken from a traditional design. The other two show floral designs, freely drawn, but clearly influenced by the mixed tradition of floral drawing.'
