Description
Woman's long sleeved shirt, made from handloom cotton, white with green stripes, one side and sleeves horizontal stripes, one side horizontal and vertical creating a square pattern, one pocket with square pattern at a diagonal. With standing collar, one button on collar then two buttons on opening extending halfway down torso, straight sides with two belt loops, and single button cuffs. Buttons are small round and plastic, mostly clear with a slightly white opaque pearlescence.

Description for 1978.136 A-E: Set of five women's shirts made by Paville Fashions Pvt Limited for export to the USA. Four from handloom cloth produced in Tamilnad and Kerala, and one from mill cloth made in India from Egyptian cotton. All of the shirts are in relatively classic style, and are intended to compete in the US market with domestically produced shirts.
