Description

Board with vessels, part of a model of a house prepared for a wedding ceremony [Z 33811 A-E]. Rectangular wooden board covered with lined paper and bordered with green; adhered to the paper are two turned wooden vases, one with flowers made from cane and paper; one circular dish with scalloped edge and a smaller dish attached inside; two additional small wooden vessels and a conical lid of multidirectional woven plant material sit on the dish; one turned wooden vessel with red paper lid decorated with green papercut designs and a small strip of red fabric; one rectangular vessel lined with red fabric and decorated with pendants and silvered papercut designs with tassels of metal beads and red and purple wool; two finials slot into this vessel and are decorated with gilded papercut designs, with a concertina of green paper stretched between them. Board sits in front of dais inside the house.
