Accession Register for 1916.17-19: 'Three large earthenware vessels for water: two globular with spout and two handles (one on the side and one forming strap over the mouth), one with glazed brown upper portion and one large with orange-shaped body (unglazed) with large spout, narrower mouth and simple broad wide handle.'

Description (Physical description)
Large, complete spouted and basket-handled jar or jug of red ware. Small, upright rim and neck with a ridged basket handle; rounded body with tubular, freestanding spout on one side and ridged vertical handle, finished with three small thumbed impressions, on the other side; flat, slightly splayed base. Unglazed, wheel-thrown. Used for transporting and pouring water.
