Description (Physical description)
Mechanical pocket lighter, in silver coloured metal, case rectangular in shape with rounded corners, hinged lid with button opening, torsion spring connected to inside of lid and rasp mechanism. A hollow cylindrical tube extends from the body where the wick would have been housed, a corresponding cylindrical tube extends from the roof of the lid to extinguish the flame. Operated by button press, which would cause torsion spring to rub against rasp, causing sparks. Exterior of case decorated with groups of five vertical incised lines.
