Red wax seal impression of a seal matrix with a circular face. The central design depicts a six-petalled floral motif. The central design is separated from the inscription by a plain groove. The inscription begins with a cross pattée and reads 'S WILLI ?DEL ?GR DE DERBI' ('THE SEAL OF WILLIAM OF DERBY'). The impression is mounted on paper, and has part of an earlier attempt below.
