Red wax seal impression of a seal matrix with a circular face. The central design depicts a bird with wings outspread, holding a snake in its beak. The central design is separated from the inscription by a plain groove. The inscription reads 'SIGILLVM MARTINI DE CORNhVLLE' ('THE SEAL OF MARTIN DE CORNHULL'). The impression is mounted on paper, and has part of an earlier attempt below.
