Description
Incomplete thin Dutch tile, now in two pieces. Glazed, with a white background and blue decoration. It may depict a biblical scene, of the 'Adoration of the Shepherds' in the stable after the birth of Jesus. Depicted are two male figures, facing a figure sitting by a baby in a manger with a halo around its head; with heads of donkeys looking in; and rays of light shining on the scene. With a circular border and 'barred ox-head' corner decoration. Approximately two-fifths of tile is missing.
