Description
Iron prick spur with exterior layer of copper alloy, straight sides with one terminal missing, and cylindrical goad with small point. Sides have a circular cross-section, ending with heart-shaped terminal pierced by two holes; holes in extant terminal have two iron rivets in situ. The goad is cylindrical with a flattened end, from the centre of which projects a small conical spike. Spur has an iron core with a copper alloy jacket on the exterior surface; the iron has corroded in places leaving a void behind the copper alloy jacket.
