Description
Rectangular cast plate of pale blue glass lined in a lead frame with two loops for suspension. Etched inscription of 'An Gottes Sägen ist alles gelegen arbeitsam und from ist gewüße Richtum. Christen Spring von Vechigen Steinhaue meister gesell in Bern ù. Barbara Fost sein. 1787.' Engraved decoration of a coat of arms incorporating a stag jumping with three hills below and a six-pointed star above, surrounded by floral and cross-hatched design. A border of etched lines, circles and ovals surrounds the central design. Three fragments of glass have broken from the top left corner and are present.
