Based on the label, which is identical to other objects (e.g. Z 30195) this sherd was collected by Thomas McKenny Hughes from the King's Ditch, exposed during digging the foundations for the extension of the Masonic Hall, Corn Exchange Street, in early 1914.

Description (Physical description)
Black glazed mug or tyg. Conical body with two handles, one handle survives the other is only shown by the lower handle scar. The body tapers to a splayed concave base with grooved design. Red fabric. Large portion of the body and all of the rim is missing.
