Context (Analysis)
Although the donor is listed as J.G. Hurst in the Accession Register for Z 16320, this may be a mistake based on Hurst borrowing and then returning the pot, only after which was the Z number assigned to the object. Therefore the Source field has been left blank and the details about the provenance of this pot remain unknown.

Description (Physical description)
Two sherds, one of which is two fragments adhered together, from a storage jar. Consisting of one body sherd and handle sherd. Made of Thetford ware with decoration of ribbing along the handle and applied thumb design on the body sherd.
