Description

Copper alloy object with open mouth and hinged corner, possibly part of a hinged container or similar object. Object is hollow and has a flattened, half-circle form with an extended lope at its apex. Mouth of object features two symmetrical flat, half-circle projections with scalloped portion removed from their apex; one corner of the object’s mouth features a small projection through which a hole has been pierced; the front and back face of the object feature an incised chevron below the mouth, pointing towards the extended lope; the lope features a small opposing incised arrow. One face of the object is dented in its centre.
