In October 2012, Ray M.K. Ma, Assistant Curator, Antiquities & Monuments Office, Hong Kong examined these sherds and identified them as being from the Bronze Age. The Period field has been updated accordingly, as previously there was no period given.

Context (Amendments / updates)
A vessel with similar low relief trellis pattern to that on 1936.313 A, dating to the Han dynasty, appears in Lin, James C.S. (2012) 'The Search for Immortality: Tomb Treasures of Han China', p. 318, plate 191. 1936.313 A is also impressed with similar curvaceous geometric motifs to this sherd. The period field has been updated accordingly.
