One rim sherd from a dish of medium, orange coloured fabric with mica grains. The rim is thin and straight, with a rounded edge.

Context (Amendments / updates)
Six sherds were found marked with two different accession numbers: 1933.98 and 1933.509. It appears that the six pottery sherds from Mohenjo-daro, donated by Professor Vere Gordon Childe in 1933, were entered into the accession register twice under two different numbers. In the Annual Report for 1933, the sherds are listed with the accession number 1933.98, whereas 1933.509 is not mentioned in the report. 1933.509 is therefore believed to be a duplicate accession number. The records for the two numbers have now been combined, with the original number, 1933.98, taking cataloguing priority.
