Small pot of burnished red ware. Everted rim, short neck and narrow mouth, rounded body tapering to a flat base. Decorated above the shoulder and below the neck with linear markings, incised with a fine pointed stick. Bound by horizontal lines are rows of short vertical lines.

Catalogue card description for 1948.2351 A-B reads: 'Two ovate burnished red ware pots, flat base flaring out to rounded shoulder, narrow neck and slightly flaring lip. Band of incised pattern (done with sharp stick) below the neck.
A: Pattern: parallel lines between which large triangles pointing upwards in which are ?four rows of stick marks. Black firing marks on side and base. Height 4 6/10". Diameter of base 2.2". Diam. of mouth: 1.3".
B: Small, orange in colour. Fairly wide parallel lines between which very close stick marks, which must have been done with a very tiny sharp stick. Height 3.6". Diam. of base 1.5". Diam. of mouth 1.2".'
