Description (Physical description)
Knife with a metal blade and horn handle. The blade has a straight back and slightly curved cutting blade; fuller near the to the back of the blade framed with grooves. The knife tang is set into a horn handle and secured with rivets.

Context (Amendments / updates)
In the Accession Register the Duncan bequest was entered as originating from ‘Portuguese East Africa’ (now Mozambique). This was later corrected to ‘Nyasaland’ (now Malawi). The latter has been retained as the main place for this object, but all geographical places associated with the object are listed in the Production field.
