Cylindrical wooden tube for storing a drinking straw. The tube is painted black with incised zig zag pattern showing the wood underneath. At both ends are wooden mushroom shaped stoppers, both with small holes through.

Catalogue card for 1948.2368 A-D:
'Four wooden tubes for holding drinking straws.
A: Carved end - rather like stool with bent legs, incised zig-zag pattern on the body painted black, and a wooden stopper with a thin pin like handle. A small hole pierced through the stopper and the side of the tube.
B: Smaller tube painted black except for the end. Incised zig-zag pattern, mushroom shaped ends. Similar hole through stopper.
C: Long tube similiar to B painted black with incised diamonds, filled in with criss-cross or oblique lines. Stopper missing, but other end mushroom shaped.
D: Very small tube, black, incised long triangles filled with oblique lines, split, stopper missing, mushroom shaped end.'
