Catalogue card for 1948.2304 A-B: 'Round coiled baskets, similar in shape to 48.2305. / A: Smaller than 48.2305, otherwise similar, with a design of red and black what look like conventionalized trees with interlocking branches (see back). These appear also on the lid. / B: Shallower than A, with a flat lid with a knob in the centre. Design in black only, consisting of dog-tooth triangles pointing downwards from the rim and upwards from the base, on the basket, and in 'rays' from the centre knob, and inwards from the outer edge of lid.'

Coiled basket and lid. Basket (.1) with slightly concave base and flared walls with an upright rim; decorated with two rows of triangles in black fibre; flat lid with internal wall and protruding central handle; decorated with black triangles radiating from the centre and from the rim.
