Shallow, circular seed tray of woven plant fibre, with a thickened rim of twisted black and natural coloured fibre. Formed of two layers; the upper layer with red warps, and two groups of red lozenges between three groups of black lozenges; the base layer with red warps and natural colour wefts. Asymmetrical convex base.

Description of 1948.2327 A-B: 'Two shallow circular double wicker-work seed trays, with black and white woven, reinforced borders. Both have red warps, and are patterned on the inside with bold red and black lozenges, elongated laterally, room being made for the coloured wefts by inserting the natural coloured ones diagonally, and reducing their number locally.
B: Three groups of black, and two of red pattern. No pattern on outside which is of coarser weave.'
